Nigerian Bitcoin and Crypto Internet searches the highest globally

Although Nigeria ranks fourth for crypto ownership, it is still a leader in the search volume of people searching for the keywords ‘crypto’ and a href=”https://news.bitcoin.com/study-nigeria-most-crypto-obsessed–english–speaking country–globally/”>. These findings seem to be supported by another study, which found that Nigeria was the country most obsessed about cryptocurrencies.

Triple A’s data also shows that South Africa has the highest number of cryptocurrency owners at 7.7 million. This number is close to 12.5% of South Africa’s total population. With 6.1 million crypto owners, Kenya is the third most populous country in Africa. This represents 11.6% of the country’s total population.

Eygpt (with 2.37 million holders) and Tanzania (with 2.32 million holders) round out Africa’s top five crypto-owner countries. The lowest-ranked African country is Seychelles with an estimated 1,257 crypto holders.
